The Dramatic End of the Container’s Journey
The Trade School students drum, dance and sing to welcome the long-awaited container. It has been released with a tax exemption.

The huge lorry rumbles down the road to the Kisubi College. At a bend in the road it gets STUCK!

Students unload the boxes and equipment from the container and carry them to the store room. Many hands make lighter work, but the task is enormous. ![]()

As the students learn what equipment and materials are packed in the container, they smile broadly.![]()

More treasures are unpacked.

Boxes arrive at the store room and are organized for safekeeping and distribution.

Back at the Trade School, a student tries out some of the new equipment.

Thanks to the generosity of Canadians, the staff and students of CANHAVE Trade School in Kisubi will be celebrating for years to come. All is well that ends well!
Caroline's Visit
When Caroline Nakayenga spent five weeks in Uganda in February/March, 2010, she travelled with Dave Depper, a professional film maker from Ottawa. They spent much of their time at the Trade School.

They also visited many of the 60 CANHAVE students who attend primary and secondary schools in the Kampala area. They also went to the homes of some of the children to meet their caregivers, many of whom are their grandparents.

One of the celebrations they held at the Trade School was the addition of three new mangos to the Mango Tree in gratitude for the generosity of three Canadian families. In the photos below, we see Trade School students and CANHAVE pioneers with the new plaques and mangos. ![]()

Thanks to these and many other donors, CANHAVE is proud to support the education of 60 Ugandan orphans in schools around the Capital of Uganda, Kampala, and to operate a Trade School for older students wishing to learn new skills and to become independent. ![]()
